The wildlife in the Galapagos Islands is predominantly non-migratory, meaning that visitors can encounter most species year-round. The climate is divided into two seasons: the wet season and the dry season, with temperatures remaining fairly consistent throughout the year.
While wildlife sightings are abundant at any time, certain events make specific months especially unique. December marks the hatching season for the iconic giant tortoises, while July sees the mating season for blue-footed boobies and short-eared owls.
